The elderly woman, her love for her son profound, responded with deep concern, “My dear child, before you embark on your quest, take four steps forward and consume this humble offering of dry bread beneath the tree.

This way, none shall mock you on your noble mission.” The son, understanding the wisdom in his mother’s words, agreed, and she placed the bread in his hand.

However, Nandanbaneshwar remained elusive, concealed by the cloak of night. The king’s anxiety swelled as the night stretched on, seemingly interminable.

In return for his sincerity, the serpentine maidens and divine beings bestowed their blessings upon him.

They prophesied his destiny, foretelling, “The king’s enemy will meet his end, and you shall be rewarded with half the kingdom and half the treasure. You will be bound to Madi and named Nawalwat. Tomorrow, your enemy will meet his demise in the king’s court, his left foot and head marked as his downfall.”

The king, his curiosity piqued, questioned the young man, saying, “For what reason have you been brought before me? The multitude claims that you are the agent behind Nandanbaneshwar’s demise.”
